This guide was created for the students, parents, guardians, and staff at John F. Kennedy High School to cover the responsibilities and care involved during the use of our textbooks.
Textbooks are a major part of our educational system. But they are also expensive. And with the implementation of the "William's Act", the current budget restraints, and the escalating manufacturing costs, textbook replacement due to abuse can no longer be taken casually.
Kennedy High School has begun taking an active position by charging for the intentional abuse of this valuable resource.
Book care is possibly one of the most important factors in cost saving, for all involved. Please read the information within these pages so we can all become informed and involved.
