While attending Kennedy High School your textbooks are ON LOAN to you. YOU are responsible for their care and condition until your release of responsibility has been recorded when they are checked back in by the textbook department. Until that time...

INSPECT your books and report any damage that is beyond normal wear to the textbook department within 2 weeks to avoid being charged for it later.

* * * DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS YOURSELF! * * *

Your attempts at repairs will actually cause more severe damage, resulting in increased charges.

LOCKER sharing is not allowed under your contract. You are accountable for loss or damage if you share. Report locker thefts promptly. Without a written report of the contents, we are unable to consider releasing your responsibility.

CHECK-IN is done by scanning the barcode.
If the barcode cannot be scanned, you WILL BE CHARGED a replacement fine of $5.00, period.

ANNOUNCE your first AND last name upon book return to confirm correct ownership release. No release is guaranteed unless you return your books directly to the textbook department and confirm the release yourself.

SCHOOL ID card is your picture identification authorizing your presence on campus during the school year. You need it to checkout books and allows you to use available student resources. ALWAYS HAVE IT WITH YOU WHEN AT SCHOOL.

READ and follow the book care guidelines** on the next page to help avoid charges.

**Individual copies of this information, combined with the Book Care guidelines are available at the "Textbook" computer located in the library.
